  • You design and develop scalable architectures for complex and data-intensive projects

  • You implement these architectures as well as data pipelines (e.g. for edge-to-cloud-to-edge processing) and thus create added value for our customers

  • You develop frameworks and guidelines for the implementation of use cases for customers

  • The willingness to learn and keep up to date with new scalable technologies is a matter of course for you

  • You work proactively in an exceptional, interdisciplinary team on unsolved problems in the industrial sector and also demonstrate an agile way of working

  • You are willing to work on our own products, contribute your ideas and take responsibility for your own projects


  • You finished your BSc/MSc/PhD in a related field, e.g. Computer Science with at least one year professional experience in a Software or Data Engineering environment

  • You have a good understanding of big data infrastructures and (private) cloud architectures (migration from on-premise to cloud)

  • You have solid experience with software and data engineering best practices such as Git, CI/CD (Jenkins), DevOps, Data Quality, Data Governance and Infrastructure as Code

  • You are familiar with the following programming languages and technologies: Python, SQL and Spark

  • You feel confident in implementing productive data engineering solutions, including data quality, orchestration and schema management

  • You have already gained experience with automation tools (Ansible) and cloud deployments (ideally with Azure)

  • You have an open personality, are able to explain technical topics easily and like to maintain contact with technicians at our customers,

  • You are enthusiastic about developing high-quality, production-ready software and you want to make a significant contribution to craftworks' success story

  • English language proficiency required and knowledge of German is a plus

  • Technology and knowledge: Python, Java, Apache Spark (Hive, Spark, Kafka), Azure, Azure DevOps, Databricks, Synapse, Purview, VMs (Linux), Docker, Kubernetes, Airflow

The gross annual salary for this position starts at a minimum of € 45.000,- according to the IT collective agreement. Depending on your qualifications and professional experience, we offer a market-oriented overpayment.
